Rocky:

I can remember Bear dancing from sundown to sunup when we were partying. Although he weigh 300 lbs + no one could out dance him. I also remember leaving the house with about a dollar between us and heading to the bar. Bear would hit the pool table and we would leave the bar wasted.

Dean says: May Bear rest in Peace.
Bear was a good friend a good brother , he always made people laugh. He always backed you in every way. God bless Dean

MEMORIES OF YOU
........
EACH NIGHT I SIT AND LISTEN
FOR THAT DISTANT RUMBLING ROAR
AS THE DOG WENT TO THE WINDOW
WHEN YOU RODE UP TO OUR DOOR
AS YOU STOOD THERE IN THE SHADOWS
WITH YOUR COLOURS WET WITH RAIN
TO ONCE MORE SEE YOUR SMILE AGAIN
WOULD SURELY TAKE AWAY THIS PAIN
BUT THE GARAGE NOW STANDS EMPTY
JUST AN OIL POOL STAINS THE FLOOR
NO MORE THE PARTIES ON THE LAWN
NO BEER CANS BY THE DOOR
NO MUSIC LAUGHTER ALL IS GONE
YET STILL THOSE FRIENDS REMAIN
THEY RIDE BY NOW BUT SELDOM CALL
THEY KNOW NOT WHAT TO SAY
TO ONCE MORE RIDE BEHIND YOU
WOULD BE DREAM COME TRUE
BUT DREAMS ARE FOR THE BEDROOM NOW
MY MEMORIES OF YOU

              ROBERT W. SANFORD

Robert W. Sanford, 57, lived his final years as a professional poker player. In the end, he was tired and short stacked, so after the flop he went all in, but got sucked out on the river.

"Bob" was born in Lockport, NY, to Robert and Eleanor Sanford on 10/2/50. He was a biker, a musician, a chef, a fisherman and a hunter. He worked as a substance abuse counselor and mantained sobriety for 23 years. He played in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July 2007. He remodeled 3 homes, rebuilt several vehicles and ran a stock car at the Silver Dollar Speedway. He was humorous, well liked, told great stories and was an inspiration to many. He overcame many challenges, and made lousy cards into a great hand.

He is survived by daughter, Alisha; son, Jeremy; lover, Collin and her tribe, Cass, Noah, and Socorro, and many friends as well.

Bob's "going away party" will be held at the Paradise Senior Center, 877 Nunneley Road, Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 from 6-9 p.m.

"I'd be foolish to complain" said the bear.

We will see you again in a better place

I received a phone call from Bob's daughter
informing me that Bob had a heart attack on Monday
and they did a quadruple bypass on him.

Unfortunately Bob lost the fight, he died this morning at
2:00 AM.
